Individuals or families whose primary residence was destroyed or rendered a total loss in the August 2026 Spokane Complex Fires (Old Trails, Autumn Lane, and Fairview Fires).

Eligible households may receive a one-time payment of up to $10,000.

Yes. The property must have been your primary residence at the time of the August 2026 Spokane Complex Fires. Vacation homes, properties you owned but did not live in, and other non-primary residences do not qualify.

Yes. “Primary residence” applies to renters as well as homeowners. This could mean multiple people who are named on a single lease. Only one grant of up to $10,000 is awarded per residence, regardless of the number of adult occupants.

Documentation will be required. You must provide at least two of the following:
Valid driver’s license or state ID with the address of the destroyed property
Voter registration
Tax return
Mortgage or lease agreement
Utility or other bills sent to you at your primary address
Further documentation may be requested.

The Spokane Region Long Term Recovery group has been provided a verified list of destroyed properties from FEMA and county officials. This information will be used to compare to any documentation you may provide.

Yes. The total award per primary residence will not exceed $10,000, regardless of the number of verified owners/renters.

No. Income does not determine eligibility.

Yes. Receiving other assistance does not disqualify you.

To request an appeal, you must email WorthyGrant@SRLTRG.org within 7 days of the denial.

The grant is unrestricted relief intended to help affected households with immediate needs.
